HTMS will continue to use the 9:00am and 1:00pm Team zooms for students to check in with their teachers. Students should be checking for work in each of their Google Classrooms. We understand not all students are able to connect, due to power outages or lack of internet/computer, so please encourage them to READ. Protected time to read a good book or magazine will benefit them greatly.

Due to inclement weather on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Springdale Public Schools will have an AMI (remote teaching and learning) day. All school buildings will be closed.

The track meeting for January 30 has been cancelled, due to inclement weather conditions, and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Attention HTMS families, Springdale schools will be shifting to Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) Tuesday Jan. 30th. Schools will be closed and students will have the opportunity to work from home. All of our teachers will be available to students through Google Classroom and email. We have sent an email to all of our students with instructions. Please see the attached letter or ask your student to show you their email. Read it with them so they understand what to do. Thank you!

Good evening HTMS families! Tomorrow (Friday 1/20) all 6th grade students will go through BMI screening. In addition, all 6th grade girls will be screened for scoliosis. This annual screening occurs for all 6th grade students and is conducted by the Springdale school district's nursing and health department. Thank you,

Parents of students that walk to Tennis Courts, on Monday, the city of Springdale will be doing construction work on the Tennis Courts. The parking space and courts will be blocked off. The city said there will be parking space available in the larger parking lot in front of the baseball diamond. Students will need to walk up the length of the slope to the sidewalk, walk around the tennis courts and then towards the baseball parking space. Parents are welcome to use the car rider line, but if you would like you student to walk to the tennis courts to be picked up, please be aware this is happening. We will have an administrator stationed by the hill/side walk to direct students.

Due to potential hazardous road conditions this evening, all 7th grade basketball games have been postponed and our SWARM after school program has been cancelled for tonight. All students will be dismissed at 3:30 and will need to ride the bus or be picked up. Thank you

Upcoming performances for 6th Grade HONOR Choir 1) November 11th – Friday – HTMS Veteran’s Day Assembly HTMS Cafeteria – 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. - reception for Veteran’s in the Library following the ceremony. All families and Veteran’s are invited to come! Students wear choir t-shirt, best jeans, and close toed shoes. 2) November 29th – Tuesday – HTMS Choir Concert at Har-Ber Performing Arts Center – 7:00 p.m. Students should be in assigned seat in the Har-Ber PAC at 6:45 p.m. Students wear choir t-shirt, best jeans, and close toed shoes. All parents and friends are encouraged to attend this concert! Parents will be providing transportation to Har-Ber PAC and pick up at the end of the concert. 3) December 2nd – Friday – 5:40 p.m. performance at Caroling on the Creeks Emma Avenue in Springdale. Students will be staying after school and taking a bus to the performance. Parents are to pick up students after the performance at 5:50 p.m. We will be performing with 3 partner schools within the district. We will be placed together on the risers, but all sing the same songs and perform together with the other 3 schools.

Picture Retakes Tues., Nov. 1. If your child is new to HTMS or missed the first picture day, they will have their picture taken. If your child was here for picture day and would like a retake, they must have the original picture packet with them to turn into the photographer.
